Look, we're not intellectuals,
we just like
photos.

Taken, bought/hanged or admired, no matter. We don’t chit-chat about decisive moments and art, we don’t pretend to know what the author was trying to express. We argue a lot. We are not even trying to compromise, it’s in the difference of opinion that we find our point view. Our own point of view is the most valuable virtue.

Every story has its beginning. Mine started one evening. Cigarettes. Drinks. Arguing till midnight. We couldn’t agree on the matter of a few photos and I really liked that. I figured out that it isn’t important how you see what you see, but rather if you notice it at all. It helped me to form my own opinion and my own point of view in those days. Now, I see that there is more to photography than pretty pictures.

I remember that once I was swaggering around Berlin in search of a new pair of Formula 1 driver shoes. They fell apart after a week. And I don’t even own a car. I prefer cycling. I’m messy. Order is for soldiers. I wish I was more responsible. I like to cook. With people. For people. If I had a time machine I wouldn’t care about the pyramids. I’d go back to 69 and see Jimmy rocking Woodstock. So, I am.
