Guy named guy

Talent

BY WALL DONE, 02/08/2010

Acclaimed South African photographer Guy Neveling began his career while still wearing a uniform in the Navy. After his release he moved to Johannesburg in the 80's where he was commissioned by various national newspapers to capture the volatile political state of South Africa. Looking for a new challenge, he accepted his first advertising assignment from TBWA/Hunt Lascaris, Johannesburg in 1988. Since then he’s shot campaigns for agencies in South Africa and Europe, work that has taken him from London to Mafeking Cape Town to La Digue, Victoria Falls to Saigon and from Outback Australia to the Scottish Highlands He loves what he does and it seems international advertising awards judges love what he does too. His work has been recognized at Cannes, Clios, D&AD, Eagles and Loeries. His work has also been featured in Communication Arts, ADA, Archive and Archives, 200 Best Advertising Photographers Worldwide. Some clients Guy has shot for include Deere, T Mobile, HSRBC, Vodacom, MTN, J&B, Smirnoff, SAB Miller and Guiness.

Guy is happiest when faced with the challenge of making each campaign unique. When not shooting he will be on a board either cruising down a hill or a face of a wave at the local surf spot.
