To see color, the color space of a photograph, to make a fine print that is complete whole, that communicates visual idea in technical as well as visual terms...there has to be some vision of a color space in the picture, how it all works together. But for that to happen I am convinced a photographer has to see in terms of a particular film and paper combination. By only working digitally something is robbed from his education.
A while ago I received an email from Tata. She works exclusively with russian soviet cameras & film combination, achieving sometimes unpredictable results. These sets from Japan are today’s winner of my endeavor to provide you with rare imagery.
